Color Effects

Base Color

Begin by choosing your Base Color. This will be the primary color of your product, added to the natural color of the material selected or available for the product.

Glitter

Adds a sparkling finish and is mixed evenly throughout the base color or applying to the outside of certain molds to get a metal effect.

Swirl

Swirls of colors added in after the material is poured for a stronger and more concentrated color. Intricately shaped objects may not be suitable for this option if full color coverage is desired.

Marbling

Swirls of color for a unique pattern.

•Base Color Selection: Opt for a lighter base color than the marbling colors. This contrast enhances the marbling effect, making it more pronounced and visually appealing.

•Color Contrast: Select marbling colors that are distinct yet complementary to the base color to avoid muddy or unclear patterns.

•Limit Color Choices: Restrict the number of marbling colors to two or three to prevent visual clutter and ensure a harmonious design.

Basic Rules for All Casting Effects:

1. Color Harmony: Choose colors that complement each other to ensure aesthetic appeal.

2. Balance: Avoid using too many effects simultaneously to prevent visual overload.

3. Test Sample: Always create a small test piece first to check the interplay of colors and effects.

4. Follow Instructions: Adhere to the mixing and application instructions for each effect for optimal results.

5. Customer Notes: Encourage specifying any particular style or color requests in the order notes.

Specific Guidelines for Unique Effects:

Marbling Effect:

• Lighter Base Color: Select a base color lighter than the marbling colors for better contrast and visibility.

• Limited Color Palette: Use a maximum of two to three colors for marbling to maintain clarity and prevent muddiness.

Glitter Effect:

• Darker Base Colors: Glitter shows up best on darker bases for a striking sparkle.

• Controlled Application: Adjust the quantity of glitter to achieve the desired level of shimmer without overwhelming the base color.

Swirl Effect in Clear Resin:

• Contrast Colors: Choose contrasting colors for a clear distinction in the swirl pattern.

• Gentle Mixing: Mix the colors gently to form clear swirls; avoid over-mixing to prevent blending the colors into one.

Stone Effects:

• Solo Application: Best used alone to emphasize the unique texture and appearance of stone effects.

• Complementary Colors: If combining with other colors, choose hues that enhance rather than dominate the stone effect.
